Paris, France

Paris is the capital of France, and it’s the epicenter to all things art and fashion. Paris is home to famous landmarks, such as the Eifel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Arc de Triomphe, and Palais du Louvre. If you’re in Paris you must visit the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel tower was built on March 31st 1889; it’s one of the oldest landmarks in France. One of the main reasons the Eiffel tower was built was because it was used as a radio transmission tower. In addition, the Eiffel Tower was used to establish a history that exemplified the Paris Exposition. In Paris you can find traditional French meals that are to die for. A traditional dish that can be found in Paris is, Pot-au-Feu. The Pot-au-Feu consist of boiled beef with onions, carrots, and steak. Another traditional dish that can found in Paris is Entrecôte Marchand de vin. This dish consists of steak served with red wine sauce, butter, and onions. These traditional dishes are usually consumed with red wine or champagne. Paris is a great place to visit if you’re into lively cities with enjoyable food.

Rome, Italy


Rome is located in the central part of Italy, and it’s home to 2.67 million people. The city of Rome is home to some of the world’s most important ancient monuments; some ancient monuments date back to 20 AD. If you are ever in Rome you must visit the Coliseum, which was constructed in 70 AD. The Coliseum is also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, held approximately 50,000 spectators. The Coliseum was built primarily to host gladiator and animals fights. A popular event that was held in the Coliseum was the 100 days of games. This event consisted of 100 consecutive days of battles. Rome is not only famous for its historic monuments, but it’s known for its delicious Italian cuisine. If you’re in Rome, make sure to try some mouthwatering Pizza Bianca. The Pizza Bianca is a focaccia style pizza that can be found all throughout Rome. But, Rome’s most popular dish is the Carbonara, which consist of egg, cheese, bacon, and black pepper. This dish is the staple of Italian cuisine. Rome has plenty to offer to anyone who enjoys exploring ancient history, or discovering new foods.

London, England

London is said to be the largest city in Britain and Europe. It’s home to approximately 8.63 million people, and it is considered Europe’s most exciting city. London, also known as “The City”, is home to some of the world’s most interesting landmarks.  A landmark that brings tourist from all parts of the world is Big Ben. Big Ben is considered to be London’s iconic national timepiece.  Big Ben, also known as Elizabeth tower was opened in 1859, and it is one of England’s oldest national landmarks. A very popular sporting event in London is the English Premier League. If you’re a passionate soccer fan, you’re in the right place. London is home to five professional soccer teams that compete in the English Premier league. The English Premier League is considered to be one of the top soccer leagues in the entire world. A tradition for many locals in London is to watch a soccer game on a Saturday morning at a local pub. During soccer matches, fans usually consume a beer alongside Fish and Chips. Fish and chips consist of battered fish and French fries, and they usually can be found all throughout London. London is a great city to explore because of its iconic monuments, and it’s passion for soccer.

Monaco


Monaco is a beautiful city located on the French Mediterranean coastline. The city is home to approximately 37,831 residents. Monaco is an extraordinary city with beautiful beaches and luxurious city harbor. Monaco is the second smallest state in France and it’s the smallest Vatican City. Additionally, Monaco is famous for its Monte Carlo Casino, which has appeared in many James Bond films. Even though the Monte Carlo Casino is one of the world’s best casinos, locals are not permitted to enter or gamble in the casino.  A popular event that takes place in Monaco is the Monaco Grand Prix. This racing event takes place in the city of Monaco once every year. The reason why this race is very popular is because it takes place on the streets of Monaco, and it is used to crown the champion of formula 1 racing. This race is very important because there’s a lot at stake. The winner of the Monaco Grand Prix can take home approximately 9.8 millions dollars.

Barcelona, Spain
The city of Barcelona is situated in the northeast part of Spain on the Mediterranean coast. Barcelona is home to approximately 1.6 million inhabitants, and it is the second largest city in Spain. The city of Barcelona is most famous for its architecture, tapas, beaches, and soccer team. Barcelona’s soccer team is one of the main attractions in the city. The locals in Barcelona are very passionate and proud of their team. F.C. Barcelona attracts approximately 95,000 fans each week to their soccer games. Barcelona is well known for its traditional food called tapas. Tapas are a Spanish delicacy, which are served in small portions. Tapas are usually consumed along with a Spanish wine or, beer. An attraction that brings people from all around the world to Barcelona is its modern architecture. Barcelona is home to some of the most worlds colorful, bold, and unique buildings.  A must see building in Barcelona is La Sagrada Familia. La Sagrada Familia was constructed by Antoni Gaudi in March of 1882. The building is famous for its intricate and fascinating designs.

Munich, Germany

The city of Munich has a lot to offer to anyone who enjoys learning about another culture. The city is home to Marienplatz, BMW Museum, and Oktoberfest. Munich is home to 1.5 million inhabitants, and it is the 3rd largest city in Germany. Munich is located in the region of Bavaria, which is situated in the southeastern part of Germany. An important event that takes place in Munich is Oktoberfest. This festival takes place from September 17th through October 3rd. Oktoberfest is the world’s largest folk festival, and it attracts approximately 5 to 7 million visitors each year. The festival was originally created to celebrate the marriage of Prince Ludwig of Bavaria to Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen, since then the festival has grown to include rides, games, music, and beer. Munich is famous for their large soft pretzels, which are the staple of Bavarian cuisine. These large German pretzels are called Brezel or Breze. They are often consumed with a large cold German beer. Another traditional German food is Bratwurst. This sausage is usually made from pork, turkey, veal, or beef.

Cali, Colombia
I can give you many reasons on why you should visit Cali, Colombia. The city of Cali, also known as the Valle de Cauca, is located in the southwestern region of Colombia. It is home to approximately 2,319,655 inhabitants. As well, it is home to Colombia’s mouthwatering dishes, notably the Bandeja Paisa, which consist of Colombian beans, white rice, beef, chicharon, fried plantains, and a fried egg. Not only does Cali have great food, but also it has great places to sight see. The Rio Pance is located south of the city, and it is one of the largest rivers in Colombia. Rio Pance is a great place to take a group of family or friends. The geographical location of the Rio Pance gives locals and tourist a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city. A popular event that takes place in Cali is “La Feria de Cali”. The festival has been celebrated since 1957, from December 25 to December 30. The festival is used to celebrate cultural, ethical, and musical diversity. Some activities that take place during the festival are salsa concerts, bullfights, parades, and sporting events. The city of Cali has a lot to offer to anyone who enjoys experiencing a new culture.
